Restore intestinal flora with constipation
LACTUSAN: restore the intestinal microflora!
[ #762 (41) 25.10.2010 ]
Professional long-term contact with antibacterial drugs, irrational nutrition, psychological and physical stress, polyhypovitaminosis, administration of antibiotics, acute and chronic diseases of the digestive tract, surgical interventions, immunodeficiency states, fasting, food allergy, fermentopathy - the most frequent and actual causes of intestinal dysbiosis (Vertkin A. et al. 1998). The change in the qualitative and quantitative composition of the bacterial intestinal microflora - dysbacteriosis - can lead to a decrease immunity, impaired intestinal function, absorption of carbohydrates, fatty acids, amino acids, vitamins, worsening of the general condition organism. In addition, metabolic products and toxins produced by opportunistic flora reduce the detoxification function of the liver, increasing the symptoms of intoxication. Therefore, eliminating dysbacteriosis is a necessary condition for restoring health.
The intestinal microf
- creates an acidic environment (pH of the colon environment before, ), which prevents the propagation of pathogenic and gaseous flora;
- promotes the enzymatic digestion of food ingredients - enhances the hydrolysis of proteins, saponifies fats, ferments carbohydrates, dissolves the cellulose;
- participates in the formation, synthesis and absorption of vitamins K, group B, folic and nicotinic acid;
- promotes the realization of the synthetic, digestive and detoxifying functions of the intestine - reduces the permeability of vascular tissue barriers for toxins, pathogenic and opportunistic microorganisms, prevents the penetration of bacteria into the systemic blood flow;
- increases the immunological resistance of the body - stimulates the function of lymphocytes, the synthesis of immunoglobulins, interferon, cytokines, increases the level of complement, the activity of lysozyme;
- stimulates the synthesis of biologically active substances that have a positive effect on the digestive tract, cardiovascular system, hematopoiesis;
- plays an important role in the final stages of the metabolism of cholesterol and bile acids.
The balanced composition of the intestinal microflora is of great importance for human health and the quality of life. The digestive tract is populated with bacteria a few hours after the birth of the child. Between these microorganisms, a certain equilibrium is established - an individual qualitative and quantitative composition of the intestinal microflora is formed. Therefore, it is important to maintain its own bacteria, because it is difficult to fully restore the bacterial flora by settling bacteria.
To maintain your own microflora, you need to use a sufficient number of so-called prebiotics - nutrients that feed microorganisms. The energy and plastic needs of normal intestinal flora are provided by carbohydrate nutrients, including lactulose.
Unreasonable nutrition - the use of refined products, the reduction in the diet of the amount of plant coarse fiber food - the main reason for the insufficient intake of prebiotics in the body. Fix their deficiency is also helped by functional foods, biologically active components of which are prebiotics. In the treatment of intestinal dysbiosis I-II degree prebiotics are the drugs of choice. One of the most important prebiotics is lactulose (Moskal O. 2008).
It is lactulose - a synthetic disaccharide, consisting of galactose and fructose, - is a part of the dietary supplement LACTUSAN and determines its functional properties. This disaccharide - a substrate for the energy and plastic metabolism of lacto- and bifidobacteria - promotes their growth, restoring the normal intestinal microflora. Unlike probiotics, lactulose can be used together with antibacterial drugs, which is its additional advantage (Belousova E. 2005). Thus, due to the fact that this carbohydrate nutrient is a part of LACTUSAN, it has prebiotic properties and contributes to the normalization of the intestinal microflora in dysbacteriosis.
One consequence of this disease is the translocation of intestinal microorganisms into the systemic circulation, which leads to the circulation and accumulation of bacteria and their toxins in the tissues, the formation of a cross immunological reactivity. These and other pathological processes can lead to the appearance of allergic dermatosis.
Normalizing the quantitative and qualitative composition of the bacterial flora of the intestine, LAKTUSAN prevents the propagation of pathogenic microflora and translocation of intestinal bacteria; improves digestion and metabolism, normalizes absorption of vitamins, increases immunity and overall resistance organism.
In addition, lactulose helps to eliminate constipation and restore the physiological rhythm of emptying the intestine at the expense of stimulation of the peristalsis of the colon, increased intracellular osmotic pressure, increased intestinal volume content. Also, lactulose is used for hepatic encephalopathy, hepatic (pre) coma, chronic hepatitis. In this case, its use is due to binding, reduction in formation and absorption from intestine into the systemic bloodstream of ammonia and aromatic amino acids possessing cerebro-toxic effect.
Thus, based on the therapeutic effects of lactulose, LACTUSAN can be recommended for a wide range of pathological conditions: dysbacteriosis - for normalization of intestinal microflora; constipation; liver diseases of various etiologies; metabolic disorders, which is accompanied by allergic dermatosis; to strengthen immunity; increase in overall resilience organism.
Note that LACTUSAN can be consumed by children aged 1 year and older.
Efficacy and safety of LACTUSAN in various nosologies is confirmed in the course of clinical studies: with dysbacteriosis in children under the age of 3 years and older (Bobrikov V. 2000, L.Vetrova 1999); viral hepatitis (Shutov A. 2000), liver cirrhosis with chronic hepatic encephalopathy (Baisheva Z. 2000). Also, in the clinical study of the immunomodulating and detoxicating effects of LAKTUSAN (based on the Yaroslavl State Medical Academy, Russia) that when LAKTUSAN was included in the diabetes therapy regimen, the number of T cells (by 45%), B cells (by 92%), and immunoglobulins (by 12%) increased in patients (Sukhanov G. 2001). In the same study, it was shown that LACTUSAN in a group of patients with liver and bile duct disease, as well as dysbacteriosis helps restore intestinal microflora and metabolism, as well as improve the overall condition organism.
LACTUSAN is used for:
- dysbacteriosis: in adults - 2 teaspoons 2 times a day; in children older than 3 years - 1 teaspoon per day; in children aged from 1 year to 3 years - by, - 1 teaspoon per day;
- constipation: in adults - 2 tablespoons 1 time per day; in children older than 1 year - 1-2 teaspoons 1 time per day.

Probiotics for constipation
According to the World Organization of Gastroenterologists, constipation (constipation) is a symptom that can develop in many intestinal pathologies. During constipation, the normal process of rhythmical contraction of the musculature of the intestinal wall is disrupted, resulting in stool retention and intestinal contents stagnation.
Constipation in children in the frequency of occurrence are comparable with constipation in adults. This symptom is more common in the elderly and in infants. Women are also more susceptible to constipation than men.
There are many reasons that lead to constipation. Among them, a diet poor in fiber, inadequate water intake, intestinal diseases (colitis, ulcers, irritable bowel syndrome, tumors, pancreatitis), neurological diseases (multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, spinal cord injuries), taking certain medications (strong painkillers, antidepressants or medicines for heartburn).
According to some studies, the amount of lacto and bifidobacteria can be significantly reduced with constipation, although not all the work confirms this. On the other hand, when constipation may increase the proportion of methanogenic bacteria in the intestinal flora. Anyway, constipation is associated with a violation of the balance of microflora.
Probiotics for constipation can help alleviate symptoms, especially when combined with prebiotic supplements. Some probiotic bacteria are able to release substances that stimulate the musculature of the intestine. Also useful bifidobacteria can inhibit the multiplication of microorganisms, somehow related to the appearance of constipation. Probiotics for the intestines with constipation can increase the effectiveness of other drugs prescribed by doctors.
